Post Graduate education in nursing leading to M.Sc Nursing degree is a two year full time course as prescribed by Indian Nursing Council (INC).B.Sc Nursing graduates with minimum of one year experience (full time) in a hospital (with minimum hundred beds) or in a community health nursing set up or in an institution of Nursing education (recognized by INC) are eligible for the course. INC envisages the post graduate nurses for leadership position in nursing and health fields who can function as nurse specialists, consultants, educators, administrators and researchers.

        MGM College of Nursing, Kamothe started offering M.Sc Nursing programme since 2009.The college has been permitted by INC to offer the same in all five clinical specialties i.e. Child Health Nursing ,Community Health Nursing, Medical Surgical Nursing, Mental Health Nursing, and Obstetrics and Gynecology Nursing.

        The college also offers B.Sc degree in nursing since 2003 which is affiliated to Maharashtra University Of Health sciences,Nashik.The college is attached to its parent hospital ,MGM Medical College Hospital, Kamothe and Kalamboli having general bed capacity of more than six hundred, along with super specialty facilities of having updated diagnostic and treatment modalities.

        It is ensured that M.Sc Nursing students develop their skills in clinical decision making, teaching, administration and research through various assignments in these hospitals such as MGM Group of Hospitals, Navi Mumbai, Community Health Centers and through educational visits to various institutions and reputed hospitals in Mumbai and other parts of India.

        We follow an educational programme in line with philosophy of Indian Nursing Council and MGM Institute of Health Sciences, Navi Mumbai, equipping these future leaders capable of handling leadership roles in meeting the national priorities and the changing needs of the society.
